Raisin Cake -- Stafithopitta
 
Ingredients
4 cups Flour
5 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon, ground Cloves
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 cups Raisins
1 cup Butter
1 1/2 cups Sugar
3 beaten Eggs
1 1/2 cups Milk
confectioners' or powdered sugar Sugar
 
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Add eggs; beat thoroughly and add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, stirring after each addition. Turn into a greased and floured pan. Bake in a moderate oven for about 1 hour. When cool, dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
